Pleased to be able to announce a further sponsor, the Four Nations Chess League, for which my Dad was Chief Arbiter from 1997 - 2004. Thanks Claire for your support.Being the equivalent of football's 'Premier League', I always remember an analogy that one of my Dad's friends made shortly after my Dad died - that Richard was 'the Pierluigi Collina of British Chess!' Given that Collina has been described as 'the best referee of all time' you can imagine that I'm rather proud of this analogy!
